I made Noah's birthday cake/cupcakes this year. I have never worked with marzipan or fondant icing before, but I knew I wanted a nautical theme of some sort. Needless to say there was lots of trial and error along the way. It's much harder than it looks; I have a whole new respect for and understand why professional cakes are so expensive. By the way, the flags on the yacht's sail actually spell out "N O A H" in the nautical alphabet.
