Night at the beach

We went down to a beach for fish & chips the other night.  It was a beautiful night and Noah loved looking at "cities" (downtown) in the distance.

The moldy bread...

We went to the lake to feed ducks and geese with some bread on Sunday morning.  Moldy bread.  That I very nearly used to make french toast for breakfast. Thanks Michael for alerting me to the spots of mold...My kids rise too early in the morning for my safety :)!  I don't think I can function fully at 5:00 am. 

These are definitely Michael's children, no doubting that!  ;)

I received this crystal makeup brush as a high school graduation gift, and it has just been collecting dust.  Anna found it the other day and has hardly put it down since. She is very girly and princessy, so I'm not surprised.

Easter Eggs

We dyed and decorated Easter eggs at home on Good Friday as I had Michael around to help prevent any dye catastrophes.  (Friday - Monday are considered Easter holidays here, so everyone is off work).  I cannot get white-shelled eggs here.  Only brown-shelled eggs. Yes, it is a very sore subject.  Anyway, its a bit tricky and time consuming to get the dye dark enough to be visible over the brown. And colouring easter eggs isnt really the done thing here. I had to have the coloring kits sent to me from the US.  Noah had a lot of fun, so Im really happy we went to the trouble to do it for him. His favourite thing was peeling stickers off their sheets and sticking them on everything, even an egg occasionally.

Sold!

We sold our house at auction on Saturday!! Its bittersweet.  We LOVE where we live, and did all the renovating ourselves (originally circa 1905), so its hard to leave, but we really need more space. So now the new house hunt begins...
